After having invested in people and ideas for 8 years, Riopol Project comes to reality. It houses US $ 1.08 billion in financial resources. The Rio Polimeros SA integrated complex is about to be concluded.
Riopol plant, the largest gas-chemical enterprise in progress in Latin America, is located in the surroundings of Duque de Caxias Refinery (Reduc), in the district of Campos Eliseos, municipality of Duque de Caxias (RJ). It is an easily accessible location near the main consumers' centers of Brazil, a few hours from the main ports, highways, railways and airports. When fully operational, from 2005, Riopol will be the first industrial gas-chemical integrated complex and the second main polyethylene producer in Brazil.
